I’ve always been a fan of an analogy I heard once. Your emotions are like one of the lights on your car’s dash. When one of them turns on, it means you need to check under the hood and fix them. It’s not bad that the light turned on, per se, and it doesn’t always mean something is broken. But what IS toxic, dangerous, and likely to break something, is when you let that light stay on, pretending it’s normal, until that braking fluid finally fails and you crash into someone, or your engine fails completely.
Feel jealous. Feel anger.
Just don’t let it fester. You need to look inside of yourself, find out why you’re feeling the way you are, and bring yourself to a satisfied, stable state of mind. You can look at philosophy, meditation/introspection, religion, or actual therapy, or at least talking to someone about it. You’ll find you’re much more content and happy when you do something about those feelings, and come to some sort of conclusion or resolution.

1) How did she do that? It was like magic… 2) I see so many videos like this from TV shows, and it makes me wonder why daytime television doesn’t have real and intelligent guests anymore… This is something we would NEVER find on TV in 2016.

Her name is Haunani-Kay Trask. I watched this video earlier today and I KNEW she looked familiar to me. The sad thing is that the only reason I remember her was because my first introduction to her was on a website that listed her as a “Terrible Bigot,” simply for wanting rights given back to her native people of Hawai’i. People always saw her as an aggressor and that’s INCREDIBLY disheartening :( Here’s the full video:

I love how he let him cry, told him, “We cry as men” and didn’t hit him with the whole, “Big boys don’t cry” mess. That was lovely.
Phenomenal. Allowed him to emote, then worked with him to understand the what and the why.
This gave me chills; this man is a true teacher. Children are definitely intelligent enough to understand the hard truths of life if you are intelligent and patient enough to know how to teach it to them. This is such an amazing example of respect to this kid’s emotions and maturation that you don’t always see adults extending to a young person.
Children need to know that showing emotions is part of being human.
Men show emotions.
Their Manliness is based on their fight skills, their trained and conditioned bodies and most importantly their Moral Virtues of Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and showing Respect.
